Fans of each other’s work for years, Darol Anger and Mike Marshall, major architects of new acoustic music, and Väsen, Sweden’s most influential instrumentalists, finally met at the 2004 Lotus World Music Festival. Their co-performance there was nothing short of magical, bridging the gap between the fiddle and dance tunes of Appalachia and the nyckelharpa and polskas of Sweden. In this extraordinary evening, Väsen and the Duo will once again cast their spell, combining their immense talents to weave centuries-old traditional forms into a flowing, natural fabric of sound.
