Back by popular demand, NPR humorist and best-selling author David Sedaris returns to Santa Cruz to share the sardonic wit and incisive social critiques that have made him one of America’s pre-eminent comic talents. A master of satire and observer of the modern human condition, Sedaris is the author of multiple best-selling books including Me Talk Pretty One Day and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim; his essays appear regularly in Esquire and The New Yorker. In 2001, Sedaris was awarded the coveted Thurber Prize for American Humor. That same year, he was also named Time magazine’s “Humorist of the Year.” Sedaris’s work has also earned Grammy nominations for Best Spoken Word Album and Best Comedy Album.
